How does 4Change work?


Simply download the app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, set up a profile and start scrolling.

Once you’ve created your own profile, you can get started by setting your human rights interest filter options and when you find someone you find interesting you can follow them. If they follow you back you will become friends and can start chatting.

4Change also caters for those looking for human rights work or volunteering opportunities with a simple to use “Introductions” feature, which allows peers to send you direct message enquiries or invitations.

4Change has heaps of other cool features. Use case examples below:

Use Case Example 1

To find out about and get involved in an human rights activity I could:

a) Join active Challenges that are created by admin, ambassadors or other organisations.

b) Adjust the Location Filter to only show people within a 10 mile radius of my location and also select an Activity Filter such as beach and waterway clean-ups. Depending on the other users Privacy Settings I may be able to Follow them, become Friends and join Events, Challenges and Groups they are part of.

c) Search for Events and Collaboration opportunities in my area and also apply Activity Filters.

d) Join or create a community Group such as ‘Climate action group’ and share contents with like-minded people who are also interested in this activity.

Use Case Example 2 

To bring attention to a human rights topic I’m passionate about I could:

a) Increase the number of Friendsand FollowersI have by following other people, adding engaging pics or videos to My Profile, writing a compelling profile description and being active in the app.

b) Create or join Events, Collaborations or Challenges related to topics I’m passionate about and share them with my peers. These will also be shown on My Profile page.

c) Create or join a public human rights Group on my topic of interest it. Share content and invite my peers to join. These will also be shown on My Profile page.

d) Post relevant videos and pics on the Posts page which can be seen and commented on by my peers.

e) Apply to become an Ambassador or Partner to get more exposure and to unlock more features.

Use Case Example 3

To stay informed and learn about new topics I could:

a) Listen to cool Podcasts with a selection of thousands of trending human rights related Podcasts.

b) Join a community Group and discuss topics with my peers.

 

What’s the aim of the app?


Our goal is to help build a world that is full of smiles and happiness. 4Change helps achieve this goal by giving people an easy way to make friends, network, collaborate and find work opportunities. Only together can we make large scale positive change.

Who is Loco Project?


4Change is a Loco Project Pty Ltd initiative.  Loco is a community-based initiative which commenced in 2015. Instagram @locoproject or www.locoproject.org
Locos first initiative was an off the grid mobile art gallery housed in a shipping container. Between 2015 and 2017 Loco collaborated with community groups, councils and artists to successfully exhibit thousands of local artists. The exhibitions took place in prominent locations across Sydney, Australia including the likes of Bondi Beach, Potts Point and Kings Cross.

In more recent years we have developed community mobile apps including Coco Creative, 4Change and EcoSocial with a goal of maximising positive change across the world!

How was the 4Change idea born?


We love culture and people. We have many challenges in front of us as a global community and we want to be part of the solution not the problem. We wanted to scale the power of the community networks and allow like-minded people across the world to connect with the aim of building a world with more smiles and less suffering.

Who is 4Change suitable for?


4Change is for anyone who is at least 16 years old who cares about human rights.

People use 4Change to make friends, network, collaborate or find work opportunities.

We cater for all different human rights interests with categories and filters.

Are there any fees?


4Change is free to use – there are no charges to set up a profile, checkout other profiles or chat with other users. We do offer optional advanced features for a small fee.  And no we don’t have annoying ads in the app.

Where can I download 4Change?


4Change is available to download on the App Store for iPhone users and Google Play store for Android users.

Can I search and connect with people from a different countries?


Yes, you can filter for people who are in your local area or expand your search to make friends around the world. You can also change your location so you can make friends with people while you’re travelling, for example.

Do I have to write a profile description?


Profiles with good descriptions and photos – profiles that tell your story – generally attract more interest. By building your profile you are likely to generate more follows, friends and opportunities, as well as adding value to our online community.

How can I sign up?


You can sign up via your Facebook, Gmail or iTune account, or using your phone number. 4Change won’t post any information to your Facebook account but users can share your profile unless you change your privacy settings in the main menu.

Do I need to post a photo of myself?


When you set up your profile, you will be prompted to add a profile picture unless you have signed up with Facebook, in which case your Facebook profile photo will be automatically imported. But remember, 4Change is about making friends and letting people know what your human rights interest are, so it helps to be have a photo of yourself to to get the ball rolling and start a conversation.

How do I upload a profile picture?


When you set up your profile simply click on the ‘profile’ tab and then click on the pencil icon in the top right hand corner of your screen. Find the ‘My photo’ heading and click on the ‘+’ icon to add photos from your phone’s photo gallery or Facebook profile.

How do I start chatting with someone?


To chat to with another user you firstly need to become friends’ – this means both users need to follow each other or an 4Change Opportunity must be accepted. Once you’re friends, you can start chatting.

How do I delete my account?


You may delete your account at any stage by going into the settings page and pressing “Delete your account”. If you wish to delete your account simply go to the app Settings / Account Status and click on the ‘Delete my account’ button. We will then delete your account, your connection and all information we have about you within 48 hours and you will not be able to reactivate your account. If you wish to discuss data deletion or request a copy of your information at any stage simply email us.

Do I need to disclose my age and gender?


4Change is all about making positive human rights change, it is not about defining people. We do not ask for your age, we only ask you to confirm you are above the minimum age of 16 years old. Your gender will be used in search filters and due to Apples recent policy we are now required to show gender of your profile details page.
